Voice Mastery Studio

If Bonjour Brilliance at The French Room helps you think in French, Voice Mastery Studio focuses on how your French sounds when you speak.

Small enough to do. Specific enough to produce real change.

Voice Mastery Studio is The French Room's dedicated French speaking practice environment. It is not a pronunciation course. Each week members record themselves speaking French and receive individual feedback from Ellie Louis on what they actually sound like — the rhythm of the sentence, the pacing, the clarity. The focus is deliberately small. Small enough to do consistently. Specific enough to produce real change.

What most learners are missing

Most French learning happens in private. You study, you listen, you read — but nobody hears you. You don't know what you actually sound like. Voice Mastery Studio changes that. Your spoken French is observed by someone who can tell you precisely what to adjust and why.

"Out of all the things I do at The French Room, this is the one I enjoy the most." — Viv

How it works

Each week Ellie Louis sets a short task in the Voice Mastery Studio group. You record yourself speaking — 30 to 60 seconds — and submit it privately. Ellie listens and responds with what's already working, one precise refinement, and what to do next. You try it again until both of you can hear the difference.

Where it sits

Voice Mastery Studio sits inside The French Room alongside Bonjour Brilliance, the daily self-study programme built around 907 high-frequency words. Where Bonjour Brilliance helps you think in French, Voice Mastery Studio develops how your French sounds when you speak it.
