What is the My Study Page at The French Room?

It’s your personal hub within The French Room where you can access chat groups, view your calendar of events, join courses, and track your learning progress.

How do I access the My Study Page?

When you log into The French Room website you automatically start on your My Study Page. If you move around the site and want to get back to it, click on the “My Study” tab on the top menu. You’ll find all your personalized resources and tools gathered here

How do I join chat groups from My Study Page?

There’s a section dedicated to messages and chat at the top of your My Study Page. With one click, you can join your class group, #Help and course chats, and interact with classmates and Ellie, your tutor.

Can I communicate with teachers and other students through My Study Page?

Yes, you can send messages to Ellie (your tutor) and chat with fellow students using the built-in messaging functions.

Does the My Study Page show upcoming events?

Yes and no!
Yes it shows all upcoming live Rendez-Vous Tuto sessions that any member of Bonjour Brilliance is welcome to join. It also shows special events like Book Club, Cook-alongs and Conversation events.

Live Classes are shown in a separate booking system
Live classes are shown on a separate page as the reminder notifications, calendar management and group size are better managed for you this way.

What if I miss a reminder?

You can join Rendez-Vous Tutos, Book Club, Cook-alongs and conversation events either from a reminder notification or directly from your My Study Page. So you don't need the reminder notification to join.

Live Class Joining Instructions
When you book a live class you receive an email notification sent to the email you used to book the class. This email is private to you and contains your joining link. 
If you do not receive or can't find your notification, please contact Ellie to resend it. 

Can I book live classes or private tutoring from My Study Page?

Choose the "Book Live Class" tab on the top menu to see the live schedule and book your class. 

Are there any free courses available?

Yes there is a free self-assessment course available where you can experience a taster of The French Room Tutos and Ellie's teaching style plus evaluate your current French Room level.

How do I monitor my progress from the My Study page?

When you scroll to the My Progress section of your My Study Page you can see your percentage completion by course.

So for example, Bonjour Brilliance 70% complete. Learn French Grammar 35% complete etc for every course you are enrolled on.

Can I get feedback on my assignments?

Scattered throughout Bonjour Brilliance and the Learn French Libraries you have opportunities and are invited to share your self-evaluation answers about your progress and ask Ellie questions about the Tuto series you have just completed.

I read all of your self-evaluations personally and use this as an opportunity to check-in with you and give you feedback on how you are progressing and my suggestions on what to look out for or work on next.
