Mentions and notifications

You will know if a post has been personalised to you if you receive a mention. A mention is a tag that is added by using the @ symbol plus a person's name.

Mentions

If you are mentioned in a post you will receive a notification by email showing that post. If you want specific people to see something that you are posting then you can find them by selecting the @ symbol and then start writing their name. Once you start writing learners will be suggested to you and you can click on the person you want to tag or mention.

If you are part of a private group. I will mention you when I post details of what you can prepare for your next live class.

When I reply to any comments you make in any of The French Room chats, I will mention you so that you are notified of my reply.

Notifications

It is not feasible to send notifications for every conversational post, comment or update so you will only receive notifications for posts where you are mentioned.

As The French Room community chat is a feature that is great for social connection and as a learning tool be sure to check in and see what's being said each time you log into The French Room.
